Glenn L. Martin stands with the company baseball team, known as the
Bombers, in front of a bomber, a B-26 Marauder, at Martin Aircraft's
Middle River, Maryland, plant circa 1943. The baseball team was Martin's
special pride. The Bombers were an uncommonly good team and played in a
custom-built park on the Martin facility that featured a
grandstand covered by a section of aircraft wing. The Bombers' home was
considered the finest amateur park in the nation. http://www.codeonemagazine.com/
